I ‘m so sorry for you and your son’s loss.

I was married to a drug addict also - I left. It was really hard and ultimately took years to get free. His most important relationship was with his beloved drugs. But he was not only his drug addiction, he was also a fun adventurous partner, he had a wonderful-heart melting smile. There were plenty of times we were happy. But his love of drugs was his primary love.

You’ll do a wonderful job keeping his memory alive for your son. I am sorry he won’t know the good side of his father first hand.
